The Institute of Plumbing SA (IOPSA) in conjunction with the Plumbing industry registration board (PIRB) have seen the need to develop learning material for plumbers trading, entering or thinking of entering the construction sector.

IOPSA receive numerous queries and requests for assistance from members within this sector, which in most cases comes from a lack of understanding of the attention to detail required in order to complete a project and be aware of the pit falls.

IOPSA and PIRB have engaged with experienced individuals to develop a programme that will cover each step from receiving the bill of quantities to the final account.

Create awareness of your rights in terms of understanding the various types of contracts in place, covering letters and how to deal with certificates being reduced and so much more.

The programme will commence with live lessons on the 9th of November 2022 and run until June of 2023 with a short break over the festive period. Recordings of the live sessions will be made available on your account.

Assessments will be conducted after completion of each module.

If you are trading, thinking of or considering expanding into this market, then this programme is a necessity in terms of understanding this sector and learning from those who have experienced the highs and lows of trading in the construction industry.

Upon completion of the course and module assessments, an IOPSA certificate of completion will be issued.
